Cars, Bikes, and Girl Scouts

So yesterday I was going to girl scouts for our Gold Award which is like the Eagle Award in Boy Scouts. Well I'm going into this parking lot for a short cut and I looked both ways and suddenly a car....yes a car comes out of nowhere and almost hits me good thing I stopped quickly...and the car wouldn't stop just kept going. Oh I wish a cop car would have seen this and gave that man a ticket!

So now I'm riding on this bike trail trying to get to my meeting which I called my mother and said "hey call up my leader and tell her I'm gonna be late" good thing she did of course I was gonna be late. So I go and took a left on the trail 10-12 minutes later I find out I went the wrong way because I spotted the baseball field that is really close to my house, so I had to turn around and bike back and go the other way..which meant I should have taken a right instead of the left!

Well on my way back they have a stop sign and flag saying "Slow down you coming to a stop" so of course I did and stop at the stop sign and started biking again and out of nowhere this guy comes flying by does not stop and is on my side of the trail and almost hits me....he does not even slow down one bit, oh I wish he could of stopped and said "sorry" or something else! I thought that there is some bad drivers out their with cars but who ever knew that some bikers on trails were bad too.

So I finally get off the bike trail and on the rode and this really nice car was following me..well that is kinda creepy and I kept seeing this car for 5 minutes, that is freaking me out but when I got inside my leaders house I never saw that car ever again!

I hope everyone had a Great 4th of July!

  1. I can't remember all the times I've almost been killed on a bike. Isn't it supposed to be less stressful than driving? That's a laugh. Even though I always feel dorky I always wear a helmet. I figure, if an idiot driving or biking too fast hits me, it's their fault. But I'd be the one with brain damage.

I eventually got a loud bell on my bike. If I saw another biker coming towards me, or even a car, I'd ring my bell. Not as loud as a horn, but better than nothing.
    Good luck!
